Pixel Flow was founded in a small Toronto warehouse in 2011 by a naval architect and a VFX supervisor who shared a single belief: that the work of visualizing great ideas deserves the same craft as building them.

Our Story

Where engineering precision meets cinematic imagination.

Pixel Flow began with a single commission: rendering a 60-metre sailing yacht for a shipyard in Maine. That first project — finished on a borrowed render farm, lit by hand, painted pixel by pixel — set the tone for the studio that followed.

Fifteen years later, our team has grown to thirty-eight artists across six disciplines. We've rendered superyachts for Monaco shipyards, residential towers for Chicago developers, episode-level VFX for North American streamers, and engineering studies for marine manufacturers from Newfoundland to New Zealand.

We still believe what we believed in 2011: that the work of visualizing a great idea deserves the same care, the same rigor, and the same obsession as the work of building it.

Three principles, no exceptions

Accuracy First

Every frame is reviewed against source geometry, engineering reference, and lighting brief. We don't ship work that doesn't measure up.

Craft Obsession

Lighting, composition, material, atmospherics — every detail matters. Our brief reviews start with the smallest elements, not the largest.

Partnership

We embed with your team, not around them. Two rounds of structured review keep the path open for feedback without scope creep or surprises.
